Description
Código 1530 Extra Añejo 14 Year is a double-barrel aged tequila made in extremely limited quantities, with each release capped at 400 bottles worldwide. It is aged for 14 years, placing it among the oldest tequilas ever released. 750 ml, 40% ABV.
Maturation begins in French white oak Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels, followed by a finishing period in French Cognac casks. That extended time in wood gives the tequila its depth, richness, and smoothness, and results in a notably complex Extra Añejo. It is produced at a single NOM distillery from 100% lowlands agave and bottled with no additives, sweeteners, flavoring, or coloring.
Tasting notes: deep red amber in color, with decadent notes of maple, dark chocolate, toasted oak, and exotic spice. The finish is smooth, rich, and gently smoky.
