Description
After its time in Kentucky oak, this straight rye is moved into French wine barriques from Margaux, where the barrels’ former contents shape the whiskey’s character. The result pairs the peppery bite of rye grain with fruit undertones drawn from the wine wood, bottled at 45.4% ABV in a 750 ml format.
The wine-cask stage adds layers without covering the rye’s spice, and the finish stays balanced between the two influences. It works as a slow pour on its own or as the base for cocktails built around something less conventional.
