Description
Chicken Cock Mizunara Fourth Edition Japanese Oak Kentucky Straight Bourbon takes a familiar Kentucky straight bourbon and matures it with prized Japanese mizunara oak. Bottled at 750 ml and 52.5% ABV, it shows what alternative cooperage can add to a spirit that keeps bourbon’s core character and structure intact.
The Japanese oak influence is clear on the nose and palate, with sandalwood and a thread of incense running alongside vanilla and caramel. Subtle spice fills in the background, giving the whiskey a rounded profile at its higher proof.
