Description
Chicken Cock Chanticleer is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in French Cognac barrels. Master Distiller Gregg Snyder hand-picked all 32 barrels. The Prohibition-era style bottle comes sealed in a collectible tin.
Ripe peach, sweet cream and honey fill the nose. The palate brings vanilla and cherry, with soft plum, candied dates and banana flambé. The finish shows caramelized sugar, melted butter and fresh citrus zest.
It is bottled at 112 proof from a mash of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley.
Pour it neat or with a splash of water. Dark chocolate or bread pudding suits it.
