Description
Trousseau 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Sylvain Jacquot of Caveau du Val de l’Amour in the Jura region in . This red wine is made with grapes, which are grown and vinified in Cramans, which is essentially his converted garage at the back of his house. Its a very small operation, and he farms just 1.5-2 hectares so these wines are not easy to come by, and not too much sold outside the region.
Sensual and smokey on the nose (as most of his reds) with a richness shining through and wilder edges drawing you in.
Notes of prunes and fresh plums at the same time, hedgerow, cacao, tobacco, tonka bean and vanilla. Marvelous!!
