Bottled at 46% ABV, this 750 ml rye from Catoctin Creek spends time in specialized casks that build extra layers into the spirit. It’s a collaboration-driven expression that shows how the Virginia distillery works with cask selection to shape flavor. The pour leans into rye spice and black pepper, with oak and vanilla filling out the middle and a thread of citrus running through. Traditional rye whiskey making meets a more experimental take on maturation.
