Description
Bottled at 58.05% ABV, Castle & Key Extra Old Haitian Rhum Casks spends time in an unusual selection of cask wood that shapes the spirit from the inside out. The result is a rye whiskey with weight and layered character, carrying the concentration that comes with this proof point.
The pour leans dark and savory, with barrel char and molasses up front, followed by spice and notes of dark fruit. Caribbean distilling tradition sits behind the cask choice, while the finished 750 ml bottling reflects a contemporary approach to aging.
