Description
Bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 liter format, Casa De Hamsa Anejo spends an extended stretch in oak before it reaches the bottle. That long barrel rest is what defines the anejo category, drawing out layers of caramel, vanilla and warm spice while the agave still shows through underneath.
The result is a tequila with the depth for slow sipping, though it holds its shape well enough to anchor more considered tequila cocktails. Oak-aged character and agave sweetness share the palate rather than competing.
