Two decades in wood shape this 750 ml bottling of Rey Sol Añejo, released by Casa San Matias as a 20th Year Anniversary Special Edition at 45% ABV. Twenty years of maturation reaches well beyond what the añejo classification asks for, and the extra time shows in the depth and polish of the spirit.
Oak leads, followed by caramel, vanilla and chocolate, with the sweetness of agave still present underneath and a line of spice running through. The result is a refined agave spirit that reflects the distillery’s focus on long aging and premium production.
