Description
Casa Obsidiana Tequila Añejo is bottled at 750 ml and 40% ABV. Its striking red hue takes its cue from the iron-rich volcanic earth of the estate’s agave fields.
The tequila is double-barrel finished for 15 months in French oak that previously held Napa Valley Chardonnay. The nose opens with oak, vanilla, coffee, and clove, while the full-bodied palate carries caramel, cinnamon, raisin, and roasted agave. It drinks smooth and balanced, with cooked agave, citrus, vanilla, and a hint of pepper spice on the finish.
It has been scored 98 points by The Tasting Panel and has received gold medals from The Spirits Business and the New York World Spirits Competition.
