Bottled at 16.5% ABV in a 50ml size, Carpano Antica Formula is an Italian fortified wine built on layers of botanicals. Caramel and vanilla lead the palate, backed by herbal depth that keeps the texture rich and smooth. The recipe behind it has stayed unchanged since it was first made, and the result works as readily in classic cocktails as it does poured on its own for aperitif service. It remains a reference point for what red vermouth can be.
