Description
This Rioja Reserva from the 2015 vintage pours out layers of ripe cherry, black plum and blackberry, framed by the spice and sweetness that come from time in oak: clove, nutmeg, vanilla and coconut. The aromatics are complex, with fruit and wood sitting in even balance.
On the palate it carries medium weight, with tannins that feel soft and polished rather than grippy. Ripe fruit mingles with spice, tobacco and toasted oak through a long, layered finish. Bottled at 13.5% ABV in a 750 ml format.
