Description
Part of the 2022 Special Release Collection, a set built around unusual flavor profiles drawn from well-known distilleries, this Cameronbridge single grain has spent 26 years in refill American Oak casks. The nose opens with spiced cereal and a sweet edge, followed by mango, papaya and peapod, with hard toffee and oak shavings suggesting the spice to come.
The texture is medium bodied and silky, moving from butterscotch sweetness into deeper caramel toffee before a dry, oaky spice builds mid-palate. The finish is short and intense, closing with warming chili spice. Cameronbridge itself dates to 1824. Bottled at 112.4 proof (56.2% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle, and served neat or with a dash of water.
