Production details of Piak Rosé: Piak Rosé is made by Sébastien Bobinet and Émeline Calvez at Calvez-Bobinet in Saumur, Loire. Sébastien is the seventh generation in his family to make wine, growing from 1.8 hectares to over 6.5 hectares since 2002. The blend uses Cabernet Franc (direct-pressed), Pineau d’Aunis (10 days carbonic maceration) and Chenin Blanc. Wild ferment. Matured in stainless steel for 4 months. No added sulphur.
Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Piak Rosé by Calvez-Bobinet, but we hear it has notes of yellow fruit, small red fruit, acacia flower and a tangy refreshing lift.
