Description

Calumet Farm turned 100 in 2024, and this 18 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon marks the milestone. The farm was founded in 1924 in Fayette County, Kentucky, and is best known for Thoroughbreds. This one-time release comes in a glass Trophy Decanter inside a gift box.

The bourbon spent 18 years in charred oak barrels. Its mash bill is 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley. It is bottled at cask strength, 118 proof, without chill filtration.

On the nose you find caramel, toasted oak, dark and dried fruit, and a touch of tobacco. The palate brings vanilla, butterscotch, baking spices and seasoned oak. A long finish follows with dark chocolate, leather and aged rye spice.

It has earned serious praise. At the 2025 Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Tasting Competition, it took Double Gold, 98.5 points and Best in Show. Fred Minnick’s Ascot Awards gave it Platinum.

At this strength, take your time. Try it neat, then add a few drops of water. Smoked brisket, a grilled ribeye, aged cheddar or pecan pie all pair well. It suits anyone who loves older bourbon and wants a bottle with real history behind it.
