Sixteen years in oak shape this bourbon from Calumet, bottled at 53% ABV in a 750 ml format. The long maturation shows up in the weight of the whiskey, with depth that comes from time in the barrel rather than anything added after. The pour carries vanilla and caramel through the middle, backed by clear oak and a thread of spice that holds on toward the end. It reads as a high-proof, full-bodied bourbon built around extended aging.
