Description
Char #1 Barrel Finished Bourbon – 100 Proof
Buzzard’s Roost Char #1 Bourbon represents a bold experiment in barrel finishing. Aged in unique Char #1 barrels within a bonded warehouse, this 100-proof bourbon showcases a remarkably silky mouthfeel and subtle sweetness that earned it exceptional scores before its national release.
The Char #1 Difference
Unlike traditional heavily charred barrels, Char #1 barrels receive the lightest level of charring, allowing for a more delicate interaction between whiskey and wood. The result is a bourbon with refined elegance—gentle oak influence, creamy vanilla notes, and a smooth, approachable character that belies its 100-proof strength.
Tasting Profile
Discover a bourbon with exceptional balance: silky texture, honeyed sweetness, soft baking spices, and a clean oak finish. The lighter char allows the bourbon’s natural character to shine while adding subtle complexity and refinement.
