Description
Bushmills Private Reserve 12 Year Old Tequila Cask is a single malt Irish whiskey bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 750 ml bottle. It begins with four years in selected bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks, then spends a minimum of eight years finishing in a combination of añejo and reposado tequila casks.
The bourbon wood contributes hints of vanilla and oak, the sherry casks bring dried fruit and spice, and the tequila casks layer in a green vegetal ripeness that shapes the whiskey’s character.
