A limited Distillers Edition from Burdekin Distillery: unaged cane juice rum from the 2024 Giru harvest, bottled at Coral Sea (navy) strength, 54.5% ABV (109 proof). One of 600 numbered bottles.
Sugarcane from the Giru district of North Queensland was cut and crushed in the field, then distilled in a single pass through a Frilli hybrid still and bottled unaged in the French agricole style. A heady aroma of cut grass, sea air and minerality leads to a full-bodied palate of salt and aniseed, with a viscous warmth on the finish. Named World’s Best Unaged Rum at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. 700ml.
