Brother’s Bond Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey comes from actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. Its grain is grown on regenerative farms that aim to build healthier soil.
The four-grain mash is 70.5% corn, 14.7% rye, 9% wheat and 5.8% malted barley. A three-year-old bourbon meets a six-year-old wheated bourbon.
The nose shows caramelized grain and charred wood. You taste honey over cornbread, then toasted oak and dry spice. Caramel popcorn and roasted peanuts add a Cracker Jack note. Warm vanilla rounds it out, and the finish fades with mellow warmth.
Pour it neat, over ice or in an Old Fashioned. Pair it with smoked barbecue or pecan pie.
