On Saint Lucia, Bounty Strong has long been bought straight from the cask in bulk, with households turning it into their own spiced rums and family recipes. It is a traditional cask rum drawn directly from the island’s drinking culture, bottled at 75.5% ABV in a 1 L format.
Resting in exhausted rum casks, where the wood has little left to give, the spirit takes on a pale straw color and gentle oak overtones rather than heavy barrel character. The blend is 93.5% fresh column still rum, proofed down with cask strength (65%) three-year-old aged column still rum.
