Botran No. 12 is an aged rum from Guatemala, made by , which ages its rums in the Quetzaltenango highlands. It blends rums aged 5 to 12 years through a solera system, using three cask types: ex-American whiskey, medium-toasted ex-American whiskey and ex-Oloroso sherry. It has no added sugar and is bottled at 40% ABV.
Dried fruit is the main theme. The nose brings vanilla, toasted oak and nutty notes such as almond. The palate follows with dried fruit and oak, and the finish settles on toasted wood and vanilla.
