Description
Bonal Gentiane Quina is a French fortified wine bottled at 16% ABV in a 750 ml format. It is infused with gentian root and cinchona bark, the two botanicals that give the category its name and its bittering backbone.
The profile leads with gentian and quina, supported by layered herbal notes and a bitterness that stays in balance with a subtle underlying sweetness. The finish is dry and clean.
Traditionally served as an aperitif, it also works in classic cocktails where a bitter, wine-based component is called for, and stands as an alternative to vermouth.
