Blackened x Wes Henderson is the second installment in the Masters of Whiskey Series, a collaboration between Master Distiller Rob Dietrich and Angel’s Envy Co-Founder Wes Henderson. This limited edition Kentucky straight bourbon starts with a 6-year-old base spirit that is then finished in white Port wine casks, building additional layers of complexity.
It is bottled at cask strength, 58.1% ABV, and left non-chill filtered. The nose opens with pear and raisin, while the palate moves through honey, chipotle cinnamon, and walnut. The finish is long and viscous.
Broader tasting notes bring rich caramel and vanilla aromas with layers of oak, toasted nuts, and a smooth, lingering sweetness. A 750 ml bottle built for drinkers looking for depth and character in a bourbon.
