BLACKENED Whiskey by Metallica
Metallica partnered with Dave Pickerell, a master distiller and blender, to create BLACKENED Whiskey, a unique whiskey of superior quality that reflects the fiery creativity and devotion to craft of these unlikely collaborators.
Color & Aroma
The spirit boasts a warm, honey-amber color. On the nose, burnt caramel, oak, and honey meld together, with moderate hints of spice making their presence known.
Taste Profile
Upon first taste, the flavor profile builds with notes of honey, cinnamon, allspice, clove, and mint. An unexpected hint of apricot lingers underneath, adding a unique twist to the mix. The finish is long and smooth, with slightly creamy hints of butterscotch taffy, maple, and honey delighting the palate.
Legacy & Craftsmanship
After the sad passing of Dave Pickerell in 2018, Rob Dietrich stepped in as the Master Distiller & Blender in 2019, ensuring the protection of Dave’s legacy blend. Together with Metallica, these masters of their craft have created an unforgettable whiskey that stands as a testament to their one-of-a-kind perspectives and shared commitment to excellence.
