Description
Volume 1 Cask Strength takes the original BLACKENED blend to a higher intensity. North American bourbons and ryes are married together in brandy casks, then bottled at cask strength of 61.4% ABV without chill filtration, giving the whiskey a thick, coating texture and a deeper layering of flavor. Production runs in limited quantities, and each batch comes out slightly different from the last.
The nose opens with rolled oats and vanilla wafer. Walnut and caramel fill the palate, while the close turns toward brown sugar, ancho chili and cinnamon warmth. Overall the profile is warm and complex, with oak, spice and dried fruit carrying through a smooth, lingering finish. 750 ml.
