Bird Dog Maple Flavored Whiskey starts with barrel-aged . That bourbon is made from corn, rye and malted barley. then blends in real maple syrup. The whiskey is bottled at 80 proof, or 40% ABV.
It pours a golden amber color. The nose is all about maple syrup, rich and sweet like a Sunday stack of pancakes. On the palate you get butterscotch, brown sugar and molasses. The bourbon sits underneath and gives all that sweetness some backbone. The finish is warm and smooth, with a soft sweetness that hangs on.
