Bib & Tucker 10 Year is a small batch bourbon aged a full decade in the hills of Tennessee. It is a rewarding bottle of for anyone who likes older bourbon. The name comes from an old American phrase for your finest clothes. The brand began in Tennessee in 2014 and is now part of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits.
The spirit is double distilled in small batches in old-fashioned pot stills. It then rests in charred American white oak barrels with a No. 1 char. It is bottled without chill filtering at 46% ABV, or 92 proof. The source distillery is not disclosed.
You’ll smell vanilla, roasted corn, toasted oak and a hint of pipe tobacco. The first sip is smooth and velvety, with caramel and gentle sweetness. Cocoa and kettle corn build toward the middle. The finish stays warm, with spicy cedar, oak and a soft dry edge.
Critics like it as well. Wine Enthusiast scored it 90 points, and Drinkhacker gave it 92.
Drink it neat, or add one ice cube to open it up. If you prefer , it holds its own in an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. Smoked meats and caramel desserts are natural partners. If you usually reach for a lighter , this one will feel richer and deeper.
