Basil Hayden’s Rye Whiskey is a rye expression from a producer better known for bourbon, built around quality rye grain and careful distillation. It is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. The profile leads with rye spice and oak, with vanilla rounding out the palate and a peppery note on the finish. Spice and smoothness are kept in balance, so it works neat or in cocktails.
