A picture perfect example of the vintage, the 2010 impresses for its imposing structure and phenomenal overall balance. The powerful, incisive tannins need time to soften, but this is nevertheless a super-impressive wine, even today. Anticipated maturity, 2020-2030. Bo and Heidi Barrett have turned out two fabulous Cabernet Sauvignons. Readers may recall the Barretts started their own label when it looked like Cos d’Estournel was about to purchase Chateau Montelena a few years ago. That transaction never closed, but it did result in the creation of this impressive new project.
