Description
This limited-edition release takes the Dovetail blend — matured in California Cabernet, Port, and Rum casks — and gives it a further 33 months in new American toasted oak. That extended secondary maturation pushes the whiskey toward caramelized sugar, warm spice, and deeper oak structure, while the original profile of dark cherry, fig, and cocoa stays in place.
The pour opens with vanilla bean, honeycomb, and roasted marshmallow, followed by toffee, baking spice, and toasted hazelnut. Coconut, leather, and sweet tobacco surface across the palate, and the long finish sets rich oak and warm spice against jammy fruit. Bottled at 61.9% ABV (123.8 proof) in a 750 ml bottle, distilled in Indiana and Tennessee, and rated 93 points by Whiskey Advocate.
