Batch 022 brings together straight bourbon whiskeys from Kentucky and Indiana, drawn from 5-year-old barrels aged in American white oak and bottled at cask strength, 116.6 proof (58.3% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. The Kentucky component contributes a dry, woody backbone, while the Indiana whiskey adds floral, herbaceous sweetness. Together they build layered herbal complexity that settles into beehive, nutty and green-fruit character.
The nose leads with Yellow Chartreuse and juniper berry, with elderflower and wintergreen florals alongside gooseberry jam, kiwi and white peach. Entry is rich, oily and sweet, with a creamy texture reminiscent of flan and cappuccino. Oak steers the mid-palate toward sweet tea, s’more and sugar cane, while root beer and cinchona bark keep the rye spice in play and the spirit itself offers honeysuckle, honeydew melon and candied apricot. The finish carries sweet tea, chicory cafe au lait and Cherry Heering before fading on rhubarb and peppermint candy.
