Description
AU Original is the bottling that started AU Vodka, a British ultra-premium vodka built on English grain. It is distilled five times and cut with pristine spring water for a clean, pure spirit at 40% ABV. The name comes from Au, the periodic table symbol for gold, and the metallic gold 750 ml bottle makes it easy to spot.
Its defining step is gold filtration: the vodka is pushed at high pressure through a chamber holding real gold, stripping carbon-based impurities and leaving the spirit unusually clear. The nose is full-bodied with a subtle grain sweetness, while the palate is exceptionally smooth and mild, softly creamy with a hint of natural sweetness. The finish is crisp and velvety with a gentle warmth.
