Description
After its initial maturation, this Island single malt is transferred to port casks, where the wine-soaked wood shapes the whisky’s final character. Bottled at 50% ABV in a 700 ml format, it keeps a clear malty backbone while the secondary cask adds red berry fruit and a layer of oak spice.
The port influence shows up as gentle sweetness and a firm tannic edge, both of which sit alongside rather than cover the distillery spirit. It’s a straightforward look at what a finishing cask can contribute to a single malt scotch.
