Alpine Lafayette Spicy Bourbon Whiskey starts with Kentucky bourbon, then layers in stone fruit apricot, cinnamon and Thai chili pepper. Bottled at 700 ml and 35% ABV, it lands between sweet and spicy, working as a cocktail base or as a straightforward sipping whiskey. The spicy expression is made as a limited-run series, following Kentucky’s tradition of spiced whiskies, and the whiskey is OU Kosher Certified.
Citrus and fruit-forward drinks suit it well: fresh lemon juice and orange play off the cinnamon, while apple makes for a bright sour. Some drinkers keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it chilled. Neat or mixed, the apricot and chili give each pour a clear sweet-and-spice profile.
