Description
Alipus San Andres Mezcal is a traditional artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, bottled at 48% ABV in a 750 ml format. It is made using time-honored distillation methods, with the agave roasted in underground pits.
The San Andres agave varietal gives this mezcal its distinctive smoky and mineral character, deepened by that pit roasting. It is a joven expression, unaged and showing its craft production plainly.
Aromas and flavors run through smoke, roasted agave and earthiness, with mineral notes, pepper spice and herbal complexity.
