Description
Tune Sparkling Fusion blends Absolut vodka with sparkling white wine. The wine is a fruit-forward Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand, made with sister brand Brancott Estate. About 60% of the blend is vodka and 40% is wine. It is bottled at 14% ABV.
Absolut launched Tune in the US in fall 2012. The 750ml bottle hides under a white sleeve that tears away like a zipper. Underneath sits a golden, champagne-style bottle sealed with a cork you pop open.
Pour a glass and you will notice bright tropical fruit from the Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is fresh and lively, with balanced sweetness lifted by fine bubbles. The vodka gives it a steady backbone, and the finish is dry.
Serve it well chilled in a champagne flute. For a cocktail, top Absolut Apeach and peach purée with Tune for a Bellini twist. You can also add a little elderflower liqueur and a lemon twist. It pairs well with seafood, sushi, light salads and soft cheeses.
