Rum Especiado from 9 North takes Caribbean rum and infuses it with a blend of aromatic spices, bottled at 44% ABV in a 750 ml format. Rather than leaning on the usual cinnamon-heavy approach, the spicing stays layered and warm, with vanilla and molasses running underneath. The aromatics open warm and rounded, and the finish carries a peppery edge that keeps the sweetness in check. It works in more considered rum cocktails or on its own as a sipper.
