WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
The 2022 BACA Home Base is a lush and vivid expression of Dry Creek Zinfandel. Ripe berry flavors are richly layered with notes of fennel frond, chocolate and spice. The supple, weighty, and concentrated palate finishes with beautifully refined tannins.
Blend: 98% Zinfandel, 2% Petite Sirah
TASTING NOTES:
Aromas of cherry, cranberry and toasted spices waft from the glass of this Zin. The palate shows flavors of raspberry coulis, fig compote and currant in a full-bodied, powerful structure. The wine feels a bit tannic now, but a short stay in the cellar should soften the edges.
